Building Meaningful Ties: A Joyful Block Party with Montfort Care
As part of our ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), BMT recently hosted a heartwarming community event titled “Building Meaningful Ties – A Block Party”, in collaboration with Montfort Care, a social service agency that operates several Active Ageing Centres across Singapore. One of these is Goodlife Studio at Telok Blangah Towers, a unique centre themed around Community Theatre, offering seniors a creative and engaging space to stay active and express themselves.
Held at Goodlife Studio, the event welcomed approximately 25 seniors for an afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and meaningful connection.
This initiative reflects BMT’s belief in fostering a compassionate and inclusive society by supporting programmes that empower and uplift vulnerable communities.
Event Highlights:
🎯 Telematch Competition featuring six interactive activity stations such as Trivia, Balloon Relay, Memory Game, Marble Transfer, Beanbag Toss, and Ping Pong Bounce
🎨 Arts & Crafts with pipe cleaners or a lively Singalong Session
🍱 Tea Break with light snacks served in bento boxes alongside refreshing packet drinks
🎁 Lucky Draw with exciting prizes including an Electric Kettle, Thermal Magic Cooker, Glass-lined Thermal Carafe, Bread Toaster, Stainless Steel Casserole with Glass Lid, and Lunch Boxes
🛍️ Goodie Bags packed with thoughtful essentials like Mama Lemon Dishwashing Liquid Refill, Salonpas patches, Tiger Balm Red ointment, scented wet wipes, and Darlie toothpaste and toothbrush sets

The studio was filled with laughter, joy and heartfelt moments as seniors participated in every activity with enthusiasm. Their cheerful question—“When will you be doing this again?”—was a testament to the impact of the afternoon.
This event left a lasting impression not only on our guests but also on our team.
We are proud to have shared this meaningful experience and remain committed to creating more opportunities that uplift, engage, and bring our community closer together.
BMH’s Commitment to Community and Sustainability
At BMH, we believe that true leadership extends beyond financial services.
Our corporate culture is deeply rooted in social responsibility. We’ve continued to reinforce this commitment through our work ethics in undertaking our fiduciary obligations as a Trustee for our clients and getting our staff’s contribution towards local charitable initiatives.
Lending a Hand: Volunteering with Willing Hearts
On March 27, 2025, the BMH Group staff volunteered with Willing Hearts CLG Ltd. This secular charity, which holds IPC status, operates a central community kitchen. Willing Hearts prepares, cooks, and distributes an estimate of 10,000 free meals daily to individuals across Singapore. This is the second year that our team has volunteered, and our staff were delighted in the food preparation at Willing Hearts kitchen. We believe that food is a basic human right and the drive “to ease the community with less hunger”. In a first-world country like Singapore, no one should be deprived of the ability to feed themselves.
Dual Impact: Supporting Metta Welfare Association and Environmental Stewardship
On May 6, 2025, BMH Group made a donation of eleven used, but fully functional, Dell monitors and cables to the Metta Welfare Association. This initiative embodies a dual purpose: supporting our community while championing environmental sustainability.
Metta Welfare Association is a dedicated non-profit organization providing essential welfare services and medical care to some of Singapore’s most vulnerable residents, including the intellectually disabled, elderly, and those battling chronic or terminal illnesses. This donation goes beyond simple charity; it’s a testament to our commitment to reducing electronic waste. By extending the lifecycle of these monitors, BMH is actively preventing them from ending up in landfills, conserving valuable resources, and significantly lessening our environmental footprint.
We are dedicated to making a positive social impact that extends far beyond financial services. We firmly believe that fostering community well-being and championing responsible environmental practices are not just good deeds, but essential pillars for building a truly sustainable future. We are committed to continue our ongoing CSR initiatives, making a contribution to the communities we serve.
WEALTH PRESERVATION & SUCCESSION PLANNING
In a recent interview with Hubbis, Mr. David Koay, CEO of British & Malayan Holdings, emphasized that wealth preservation and succession
planning are paramount concerns for ultra-high-net-worth individuals. Clients are increasingly interested in bespoke trust structures to
manage their wealth across generations. Financial advisors need to provide tailored advice and consider international legal implications.

BMH Group Staff’s First CSR charity event: Food Drive
“Food insecurity: is the state of being unable to afford a sufficient quantity of affordable or nutritious food.”
Food is a basic human right. In a first-world country like Singapore, no one should be deprived of the ability to feed themselves. Low-income households and vulnerable populations are particularly affected by rising food prices.
British & Malayan Holdings Limited group employees have decided to come together in our first-ever heartwarming display of corporate philanthropy by organizing a company-wide food donation drive “to ease the community with less hunger”.

BMH Food donation drive poster
During the month of June 2023, employees of BMH Group contributed their time, resources, and efforts to ensure the success of the drive.
We contacted “Food from the Heart”, a non-profit, IPC-status organization that feeds the needy in Singapore. The beneficiaries are low-income families and vulnerable individuals, whose household incomes are below $690 a month.
Through the collective efforts of our employees and their family and friends, we managed to raise a substantial amount of Halal food items worth more than $3,636. The donations are non-perishable goods such as rice, vermicelli, oats, biscuits, beverages, and canned food. British and Malayan Holdings Limited’s successful food donation drive is a shining example of how a financial institution can extend its reach beyond financial services and positively impact society.

Employees of BMH Group; are united by a vision and driven by compassion. We are all proud of the success of the food donation drive.
By incorporating employee volunteerism and community outreach into our corporate culture, we can consistently make a positive impact and reinforce our position as a socially responsible organization. We are very grateful to all the employees who supported this meaningful event! A big thank you AND IT’S A WRAP!

All smiles; employees of BMH Group together with volunteers from “Food from the Heart”.
