On behalf of the noteholders, BMT’s roles and duties include discussions with the issuers,bankers and lawyers
on covenants and provisions constituting the note issue, enforcement of compliance within the provisions of the
Trust Deed and prompt payment of interest among others. Through due diligence checks on the compliance of the
financial covenants of the trust deed constituting the note issue, BMT monitors to safeguard the interest of the
noteholders on the payment of interest and eventual redemption of the note issue on the due date.
Trustee of Unit Trust Funds / REITs / Collective Investment Schemes
BMT holds in safe custody the Cash and Securities of Unit Trust Funds, REITS and Collective Investment Schemes
besides providing daily valuations, arranging dividend
and interest collection, placement of excess funds in fixed
deposits, settlement of trade transactions, monitoring the covenants and provisions in the trust deeds and
other
regulatory requirements. In addition, BMT also liaises with registrars, custodians, sub-custodians, tax agents and
auditors on behalf of the Unit Trust, REIT and Collective Investment Scheme clients.
Trustee for Defined Contribution Plan (DCP) / Master Trust
Developed in tandem with the employer, employee, fund managers and other parties, BMT offers full trusteeship
services such as fund accounting, registration services and other related trustee services.
